apt - synaptic

Once you have Linux installed,
Here's what you need to do to use apt - synaptic.

Install apt using rpm

• NOTE: you do this in a terminal program
  as root user
• Download here.
• Install it as root with
• NOTE: you do this in a terminal program
  as root user
• su
• enter your root password
• then enter
• rpm -Uvh apt-*

Install synaptic using apt

• In your terminal program as root user (su)
• apt-get update
• this updates the package list available for apt
• apt-get install synaptic
• this updates the package list available for apt
