The Clock

There are many who today would compare our life in this country as a clock. In fact, this theory is even taught in universities. This clock was created by a Creator and He has entrusted it’s maintenance to us the stewards.

We the stewards have in turn hired a group of people to over see the maintenance of this clock. This arrangement has seemed to work fine in the years past, mainly because of the splendor of the clock itself. Today many people are looking at the clock and noticing that much of the maintenance has been neglected.

It leaves us to ponder what the people we hired have done with all the money we sent them to correct these problems. This neglect has got to the point now where we can’t correct one problem without it upsetting the balance of the clock.

The people we hired to maintain this clock are now demanding even more money. They say they can correct these problems if they only had more money so they could have more people working on the clock.

Now we have to look at these people and the physical state the clock is in and ask ourselves. Do we trust these people to do the work needed and are they competent to handle these tasks, taking into account their track record.

One point to bear in mind is this clock will be refurbished if not by the stewards, by it’s Creator.
