JERUSALEM, Israel (April 11, 1997) - Read about the discovery of a first century tomb
containing a dedication to "Jesus, the Lord". Follow each turn of the
archaeologist's spade at Jerusalem's Temple Mount -- site of the recently discovered
Palace of King David. Or, read testimonials written by the very hands of some of the
world's first Christians, all from Jerusalem, over the electronic waves of the internet.
This month marked the debut of the Jerusalem Christian Review's web site at http://Christian.edu.
The site offers the estimated 60 million people who have access to the internet a
direct connection to what television minister Dr. Jerry Falwell called, "Jerusalem's
leading Christian newspaper." The Review is published in Jerusalem, Israel.
"The Jerusalem Christian Review... has opened a new era of direct fellowship
between believers world-wide and members of the Jerusalem Christian community. I strongly
support what they are doing," said "Focus on the Family" host, Dr. James C.
Dobson, speaking about one of the newspaper's ministries.
Including the participation of some of the world's leading scholars, the Review
presents documented evidence, with pictures, of dramatic biblical discoveries, as well as
news of Christian interest from the Holy Land.
"We are really excited that, through the internet, people worldwide can now
connect directly to Jerusalem and discover for themselves these dramatic testimonies of
the first followers of Jesus," said Dan Gallup, assistant to the editor of the
newspaper, published by a non-profit educational foundation in the holy city.
Current and upcoming issues of the Review will include easy to read reports and color
photos of biblical discoveries, including the following:
