What is Miva?

cgi programming for the "rest of us."
A tag pre-processor on the server, the engine is completely compatible with all web browsers.
Miva Script provides XML compliant tags for database, commerce, control flow, modularization, and easy access to protocols (SMTP, HTTP, POP, ODBC, etc.).
Find out more by visiting their website.

Current projects:

Joining with other Miva programmers to
create the ultimate Miva index/directory script.
A database driven links page.
Similar to the Miva categories script,
but filling in where that script is lacking.
Admin functions
Ease of customization
Advanced  search features.
Limiting number of links per page.
Ability to sort results based on any of several choices.
Open source for all to use.
By creating a quality script free for all to use, the Miva programming language will be advanced.
More people will want to use Miva.
The more people who learn Miva, the more great scripts will be programmed.
Resulting in more people...
Snowball effect!
The Miva programming e-mail list is a great way to learn Miva.
Too many times after getting help from several programmers, the script programmer claims the script as "theirs."
If there are several people helping on a script, it should have open source for everyone to use.
We will keep the coding open, similar to Linux, GNU, mozilla.org, etc.
Connect to other web site's indexes.
Each individual web site will have their own specialized index.
By linking to all other web site's indexes, surfers will find other directories where they can find additional links about other topics.
This will result in a very large index of web pages, similar to NewHoo, but with each individual webmaster maintaining their own category of links.
