    • and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Throughout history the worst enemy of mankind has been the people's own government.

The First Amendment guarantee says the government CAN NOT interfere in how we practice our religion, our personal health choices, teach our children or where we school them.

Freedom of religion is LIBERTY from... Social Security Number (some say it is the Mark of the Beast), registration or licensing to earn a living, etc.

The Peter Zenger trial in New York in 1735, exposed the truth about corruption in government. The government had arrested Zenger for his exposing their corruption in his newspaper. The jury saw the wickedness of the bureaucrats and cleared Zenger because he was practicing "truth in print." More importantly this trial established the duty of each juror to judge both law and fact. By doing so they NULLIFIED A BAD LAW. They voted "NOT GUILTY!" - This is Self-Government preserving FREEDOM in action!

This amendment has been disintigrating for years. However, a crime bill passed and signed into law in 1994 openly attacks freedom of speech. Under this law, this very website can be declared to be a terrorist publication, and I a terrorist. My property can be searched and seized without warrant and without charges being filed (this practice upheld by the Supreme Court in Nov. 1994). Under this law Paul Revere, Samual Adams, and all the Sons of Liberty operating in Boston in 1775, printing and distributing anti-government papers would be declared terrorists.

In the name of "national security", government employees are being censored for life. To combat pornography, federal and state governments have imprisoned musicians, seized the entire contents of bookstores and video rental outlets, and have even prosecuted museums and art galleries. To fight drugs, a growing list of communities are enacting curfews and "anti-loitering" laws. To ensure government control of education, church schools have been padlocked. There are now over 350 "anti-obscenity" bills pending in 46 states. Freedom of speech, press, religion, and assembly are under siege.

The first amendment -- this is the one that discusses, among other things, the freedom of religion, actually it says "...congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...".

Well, just recently, our Attorney Generals office, under the dubious leadership of Janet Reno, established something called "The Cult Awareness Task Force." They created a document that describes just what a cult is.

Here is their definition of a cult:

"A cultist is one who has a strong belief in the Bible and the Second Coming of Christ; who has a high level of financial giving to a Christian cause; who home schools his children; who has accumulated survival foods and has a strong belief in the Second Amendment, and who distrusts big Government."

That is the definition of a cult according to our government, via it's Cult Awareness Task Force.

Shortly after this was released, President Clinton, speaking in reference to this, said:

"I hope very much that others who will be tempted to join cults ... will be deterred by the horrible scenes they have seen [at Waco]." (emphasis mine)

They have taken our freedom of religion, and reduced it to a set of political points. "You have too much food storage..." "You give money to a religious cause???" They are using, and will continue to use, these things against us -- and they are incursions into our personal business and religious practices.
