Bill of Rights - 2nd Ammendment
- A well regulated Milita,
- being necessary to the security of a free State,
- the right of the people to keep and bear Arms,
- shall not be infringed.
Notes
Defense of person and property is a natural right given by our Creator.
Our Forefathers took up Arms against King George's Tax collectors because of excessive and unlawful taxes.
Gun control worked well for the communist governments who slaughtered millions in Russia, Latvia, Poland, China, Hitler's Germany, etc.
In a free nation, Firearms are not licensed or registered.
- When people fear government there is tyranny.
- When government fears the people there is Liberty.
Firearms are used over one million times a year for self protection.
Those who would oppose these principals and argue that persons in support of them are "radical gun nuts" or "extremist", etc., etc., ad infinitum; they must be categorized as falling into one of the following categories:
- Ignorant beyond belief of the history of governmental abuse against the common populace of nations.
- Have an agenda to destroy the freedoms upon which this Nation was founded;
- therefore must be considered enemies of the United States of America.
- Uninformed and perhaps intelligent enough to exercise a change of mind after having objectively considered these issues.
Quotations
Arms in the hands of the citizen may be used at individual discretion for the defense of the country, the overthrow of tyranny, or private self defense.
- John Adams
For men to stand fast in their liberty means resisting the attempts that are made against it, in the best and most effectual manner they can.
- Simeon Howard, Election Sermon, 1773
POSSE COMITATUS - The power of force of the country. The entire population of a county above the age of fifteen, which a sheriff may summon to his assistance...
- Black's Law Dictionary, 2nd Ed.
When a strong man fully armed guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed.
- God (Luke 11:21)
The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed.
- Alexander Hamilton
The arms guaranteed to citizens are those used by a well regulated militia, and such as are necessary and suitable to a free people, to enable them to resist oppression, prevent usurpation, repel invasion, etc.
- Supreme Court of Arkansas
The usual method when a country is overborne by force is to disarm the people.
- Supreme Court of North Carolina
No free government was ever founded, or ever preserved its liberty, without uniting the characters of citizen and soldier in those destined for the defense of the State. Such are a well regulated Militia, composed of the freeholders, citizen, and husbandman; who take up arms to preserve their property, as individuals, and their rights as freemen.
- James Madison, United States Congress, 1779, Bill of Rights Ratification
The right of a citizen to bear arms, in lawful defense of himself or the State, is absolute. He does not derive it from the State government. It is one of the 'High Powers' delegated directly to the citizen by the United States Constitution, Amendment II, and "is excepted out of the general powers of government". A law cannot be passed to infringe upon it or impair it, because it is above the law, and independent of the law-making power.
- Texas Supreme Court Decision, 1859, Cockrum vs State of Texas
And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms...
- Samuel Adams, United States Congress, 1779, Bill of Rights Ratification
The right of self-defense is the first law of nature. In most governments it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within the narrowest limits possible. Whenever standing armies are kept up, and the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any color or pretext whatsoever, prohibited; liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction.
- Justice George Tucker, Virginia Supreme Court, 1803
...[T]he second amendment [is] being destroyed by gun bans written into several so called crime bills. These were on the surface promoted by Democrats for the so called good of the people. However, these bills were passed with the much needed support of several Republicans.

IS YOUR FREEDOM IN DANGER?
(The Destruction of the Bill of Rights)
By Jarret Wollstein
Excerpt from the above pamphlet
This right is gradually being destroyed as a growing number of states and communities enact ever more repressive gun control legislation. In the summer of 1990 New Jersey made criminals of over 200,000 of its citizens with the stroke of a pen by banning many popular sporting rifles. As violent crime grows, U.S. citizens need the means to defend themselves more than ever, yet we are being legally disarmed.

The Second Amendment -- what do I need to say about this one. The right to keep and bear arms has been hit so often, that the movement has it's own name: Gun Control. Documentation and discussion on this point is into the tens of millions of lines of text. Headlines in the newspapers nearly every day have some point that is relevant to this point, so I will leave it alone for now.
